Vince tries his hand at comic coloring! UPDATED!!

Cardboard Monocle’s very own Vince Labolito had been trying his hand at comic book coloring, and I have to say… It looks great! (He was too bashful to post this himself, but I had to share his remarkable skills with the world.)

Here is the final image. Man I’m glad to be done coloring all the scales on that armor.

    […] But I digress.  I found this neat little before & after showing a sample of comic book coloring. It’s a nice job…if you look at the details there are gradients upon gradients of color even within the belt buckles and each of the armor plates.  That’s a lot of patient Illustrator work.  My favorite part is the glint of orange glow reflecting off Captain America’s shoulders.  I may not have thought about such details had I tried to do this myself.  (via: Cardboard Monocle) […]
