Metalosis Maligna is a documentary by Floris Kaayk about a disease which affects patients with medical implants.  Implants become infected and wild metal growth ensues.  The total seriousness with which this film was treated gave me chills.  It reminds me of the newscast scenes from zombie movies in a way.  There are some other shorts to watch as well at microbia.nl that have similar themes of man playing God.  I have a pretty serious internet connection and it took a while for the QT movie to load, but I promise it is worth the wait.
